8:22Now PlayingAs Keir Starmer denies that Diane Abbott has been barred from standing for the party, Tom Swarbrick speaks to Labour NEC member, Mish Rahman.
Abbott was suspended in 2023 for comments stating that Jewish, Irish and Traveller people do not face racism "all their lives".
Speaking to the BBC, Abbott said she had been barred from standing for Labour, but Starmer has now claimed that no decision has been taken as of yet.
Rahman tells Tom that the treatment of Abbott is 'blatant racism' and that the Labour Leader 'does not care about Black and Muslim people.'
He also clarifies whether he would consider leaving Labour if Abbott isn't allowed to stand.
