Sunak has been subject to widespread condemnation for choosing to leave D-Day commemorations early, particularly from the far-right, who have accused him of 'not respecting British culture'.
However, James dismisses such criticisms as 'silly' and stresses that despite his opinion on Sunak in general, 'There comes a point where someone being pummelled appeals to your basic humanity and you want it to stop.'
