Tory candidate, Craig Williams, admitted to having "a flutter", placing a £100 bet on a July election.
Meanwhile, four other people linked to Sunak or the Conservatives have been identified as being part of the Gambling Commission's inquiries so far.
A number of senior Tories have called for these candidates and officials to be suspended and Sunak is now facing growing calls to come clean about the scandal.
“The more you listen to this the more you realise what a madness we’re engulfed in", James says.
He adds: "Their first thought was, 'how can I make a few quid out of this?'"
