10:05Now PlayingAs the chance to lead the Conservative party grows closer, Tory leadership frontrunner Robert Jenrick joins Nick Ferrari.
Nick presses Robert Jenrick on the ECHR, immigration, and Grenfell.
He stands by his wish for the UK to leave the ECHR, laying out his plan for a 'British Bill of Rights' in its place to Nick.
‘British jurists and Winston Churchill would be aghast at what it’s become today', Robert Jenrick tells Nick.
Robert Jenrick also says it's 'farcical' that the UK has scrapped the Rwanda plan just as Germany ponders using a similar scheme - stressing to Nick the government is either 'dishonest or hopelessly naive'.
'Part of the aftermath of Grenfell came on your watch...you were running the housing department.'
Nick also asks Robert Jenrick if he 'could have done more' about cladding, having been leader of the housing department in the aftermath of the Grenfell fire.
It comes after the long-awaited conclusion of the inquiry has found there was a “complacent and defensive attitude to fire safety” within government, with ministers repeatedly failing to act on warnings about the dangers of the flammable cladding.
