Home Secretary Yvette Cooper is reluctant to share with Nick Ferrari whether she supports the ICC's arrest warrant for the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.

Keir Starmer has backed the International Criminal Court after it issued an arrest warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as Israel's former defence minister and a Hamas leader.

A spokesperson for the Prime Minister said that the government respected the independence of the court.

The warrants are “for crimes against humanity and war crimes” over the war in Gaza and the October 7 attacks on Israel, the court, based in The Hague, said.

Ben Kentish also hears from barrister Sailesh Mehta on whether there’s any truth in the accusation that the ICC is ‘disproportionately focused on Israel’.

Sailesh Mehta says: “In an ideal world, everyone who’s committed offences would face justice, in the real world, only some do.”
