as posted by the channelIsrael and Hezbollah have agreed to a truce, with a ceasefire offically beginning at 2am on Wednesday.
The ceasefire, which is intended to be permanent, marks an important step forward in diplomatic efforts to restore peace to the Middle East.
Israeli spokesperson David Mencer reiterated Prime Minister Netanyahu's claims that "it's not the same Hezbollah any more," telling Nick Ferrari "we've brought them down".
However, he said that the length of the ceasefire "very much depends on what happens in Lebanon now", adding Israel will adhere to the deal but will "respond forcefully" if it is violated.
With regard to the conflict in Gaza, Mencer said now that Hezbollah "is out of the picture", Hamas will stand alone, and Israel will increase its pressure on the group.
Mencer also said Israel's attention will now turn "to the head of the octopus", the "Iranian threat".
