It comes as stalking victims will gain "peace of mind" by being informed of their abusers' identities under new government proposals, according to the minister for safeguarding.
Jess Phillips explained that the proposed "right to know" statutory guidance aims to ensure victims are made aware of their abuser’s identity at the earliest opportunity.
"It's the most important thing," she said.
This change is part of the government's efforts to offer greater protection to stalking victims in England and Wales, with Home Secretary Yvette Cooper pledging to use "every tool available" to take power away from abusers.
