as posted by the channelShelagh Fogarty has a fiery debate with caller John, who phones in to discuss his view on the British teen jailed in Dubai for having sex with a 17-year-old girl from London, after the pair struck up a holiday romance.
Caller John tells Shelagh he is from a traveller background, in which 'pedophiles, rapists and murderers' don't exist because of the community's rules against pre-marital sex.
He goes on to say that it's 'different' when a man has sex vs a woman.
Shelagh Fogarty is not having any of it.
It comes after 18-year-old Marcus Fakana has been sent to prison for a year after the relationship with the fellow teenager, who is now also 18.
The Tottenham-born teenager was allegedly reported to Dubai’s authorities by the girl’s mother after their fling was discovered.
He is expected to appeal his sentence.
Mr Fakana feels abandoned by the British government, according to the campaign group Detained in Dubai. The family appealed for help from Foreign Secretary David Lammy - who is also their MP - after Mr Fakana was arrested.
