A medical professional testifying in the trial of a teenager accused of killing schoolgirl Elianne Andam has stated that the perpetrator's autism was a "significant contributory factor" in the fatal stabbing.
At the time of the incident, which occurred in Croydon, south London, in September 2023, Hassan Sentamu was 17 years old.
While Sentamu has admitted to manslaughter, he contests the charge of murder, citing diminished responsibility due to his autism.
