4:11Now PlayingKnife attacker Axel Rudakubana, 18, has pleaded guilty on the first day of his trial to murdering three young girls at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport.
Rudakubana, who spoke alound in court for the first time today, pleaded guilty to murdering Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, Bebe King, six, and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven.
Rudakubana also admitted the production of a biological toxin, ricin, and possession of a document likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.
He was referred to the government's counter-terrorism Prevent programme several times before the attack over his general obsession with violence.
