A new poll has found that a majority of Brits support reinstating the death penalty.
According to the survey by public opinion think tank More in Common, three in five Millennials born between 1981 and 1986 favor the return of capital punishment.
The findings indicate a significant increase in support compared to the think tank’s previous poll on the issue in 2023.
The shift in public sentiment comes after 18-year-old Axel Rudakubana was sentenced to 52 years in prison for the murders of Alice da Silva Aguiar, Bebe King, and Elsie Dot Stancombe in Southport, as well as the attempted murder of eight others.
