Benjamin Netanyahu is set to meet President Donald Trump in Washington DC on Tuesday, as Israel and Hamas prepare to head into the second phase of a ceasefire.
Netanyahu will be the first leader to meet President Trump since his return to the Oval Office. The summit will be vital to the years ahead and whether there will be further conflict or the building of new relationships.
Speaking to reporters, Trump says he has 'no guarantees' the Gaza ceasefire is going to hold.
Netanyahu has said the existing ceasefire deal temporary and that Israel has reserved 'the right to return to fighting' against Hamas in the future.
Israel and Hamas are currently in stage one of the three-part deal, which began on January 19 2025.
