16:10Now PlayingAfter the blazing row between the US leaders and the Ukrainian president, James O'Brien remarked that "it's weird how quickly our latest chickens have come home to roost".
He felt that Donald Trump and JD Vance, "irate toddlers", have demonstrated "alignment", with the Kremlin in their behaviour towards Zelenskyy, adding that this is something "much worse than appeasement".
"Just in case you think I'm exaggerating", James went on, "it has taken two weeks for 'alignment' to come out of the mouth of the Kremlin".
He read out a statement that a Russian spokesperson Dmitry Peskov had given to Russian state media, in which he said that the Trump administration “is rapidly changing all foreign policy configurations,” which “largely aligns with our vision".
James added that Zelenskyy is the "most courageous wartime leader of the 21st century", who was "abused" by JD Vance. Protesters in Vermont, where he was meant to go on a skiing holiday with his family, have told him to "go ski in Russia".
This comes after Zelenskyy was told by Trump that he is "gambling with World War Three". JD Vance also asked if he had thanked the US for all the support that Ukraine has received during the war.
