YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIsrael says it is halting its electricity supply to Gaza, which Palestinians rely on for their water supply, a week after blocking all humanitarian aid from entering the Strip.
Gaza has received very little electricity for a decade due to Israel's long-term blockade, but desalination plants in the territory still receive power for drinking water.
It is unclear how Palestinians will procure water - already a scarce resource in the Gaza Strip - without electricity.
The announcement by Israel comes just a week after Israel stopped supplies of goods to the territory to more than 2 million people, a move that triggered widespread condemnation.
Israel has sought to persuade Hamas to accept a new proposal for an extension of the first phase of their ceasefire - which the parties had not initially agreed to.
Nick Ferrari is joined by diplomat Carne Ross and former Israeli MP Ruth Wasserman Lande to discuss the latest.
