6:31Now PlayingUS diplomats are heading to Moscow to discuss the deal, after Kyiv said on Tuesday that it was ady to accept plans for a 30-day immediate ceasefire following talks with Mr Trump's team in Saudi Arabia.
Mr Trump told reporters on Wednesday: "Hopefully we can get a ceasefire", adding that "it is up to Russia now".
He added: "We have people going to Russia right now".
The Russian government has said it will not decide on whether to agree to the ceasefire deal until it has heard from the US government.
