Allied leaders made “material progress” towards a ceasefire in Ukraine on Saturday, Sir Keir Starmer has said, as the pressure has been upped on Russia to accept a 30-day unconditional truce.
Vladimir Putin’s proposal for “direct talks” with Kyiv came hours after leaders from the UK, France, Germany and Poland travelled to Kyiv to meet Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
However, Rudik explains that she is unconvinced the offer from Putin is genuine.
