Sweeney highlights that Maxwell, a convicted sex trafficker, did not testify in her own defence and think that she's now making self-serving claims, including that former President Donald Trump did nothing wrong.
He claims that Maxwell’s attempt to shift blame onto the late Virginia Giuffre is misleading, noting Giuffre was a victim of trafficking.
Sweeney is also of the opinion that the infamous photo of Prince Andrew with Giuffre is real, contradicting Maxwell’s claim it was fake.
Regarding the so-called “Epstein client list,” Sweeney acknowledges he also believes it might not be real, though he notes there may still be connections involving powerful figures.
