The legislature change the law to allow anyone who has a concealed carry permit to openly carry a weapon, whether it's a pistol or a rifel, on college campuses if they are over 18.
This comes as Conservative commentator and political activist Charlie Kirk dies after being shot in the neck at an event at Utah Valley University.
US President Donald Trump announced his death on Truth Social.
He wrote: "The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie.
"He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!"
Kirk's wife and children were reportedly at the event when he was shot.
