as posted by the channelUS and Russian officials have quietly drafted a new plan to end the war in Ukraine that would require Kyiv to surrender territory and severely limit the size of its military, it was reported on Wednesday.
The draft plan, which was reportedly developed by Donald Trump’s envoy, Steve Witkoff, and the Kremlin adviser Kirill Dmitriev, would force new measures on Ukraine that would give Russia unprecedented control over the country’s military and political sovereignty. The plan is likely to be viewed as surrender in Kyiv.
Meanwhile Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has vowed to "overhaul" state-owned energy companies, after a major corruption scandal engulfed the country's energy sector.
Around $100 million (£76m) has been embezzled, anti-graft investigators said, causing outrage in a country where Russian attacks have resulted in crippling power outages.
Several of those implicated in the scandal have close links to the Ukrainian president.
