as posted by the channel

George Abaraonye was the Preisdent-elect to the Oxford Union debating society before it was revealed he'd celebrated the killing of Charlie Kirk in a private group chat.

George apologised and deleted his social media, but he came under scrutiny from the medi and politicians. He joined Lewis Goodall in the LBC studio to share his experience.

'It was a silly and stupid thing to say,' he admitted, and explained his words existed in the same 'context' that Mr Kirk operated in - an online world that prioritises emotion and engagement.

George also revealed to Lewis that he and his family received 'death threats' following the incident. Following the experience, he wants people to talk about politics with more 'empathy'.
