Vanessa Feltz speaks to former Journalist Martin Bell and Broadcaster Narinder Kaur about whether Labour is now ’sleazier’ than the Conservatives.

Nearly a third of voters think that Keir Starmer’s Labour is ’sleazier’ than the last Tory government, according to a YouGov poll.

Starmer’s appointment of Peter Mandelson, in spite of his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, is the latest in a series of scandals affecting the Labour Government.

Yet over its 14 years in power, the Conservatives also saw multiple resignations and breaking of ministerial code.

Most infamously, Boris Johnson was widely condemned for ‘Partygate’, where a party at Downing Street was hosted at the height of the Covid pandemic and lockdown.

Commenting on the Mandelson scandal, Micheal Bell tells Vanessa that for Starmer this was an 'entirely self-inflicted blow'.

Yet, Narinder Kaur argues that this is just 'one mistake' whereas under Johnson's government there was a 'cascade of scandals'.
