18:36Now PlayingAs Sir Jim Ratcliffe comes under pressure to apologise for his comments about immigrants ‘colonising’ the UK, James O’Brien doesn’t hold back in condemning his statement as ‘racist’.
The Manchester United owner has been widely criticised for his comments, adding: 'You can’t have an economy with nine million people on benefits and huge levels of immigrants coming in.’
James O’Brien is keen to point out the irony in his comments on immigrants, considering the billionaire currently resides in Monaco himself.
He continues by saying that Ratcliffe’s attitude contributes to a wider ‘warped’ atmosphere in the UK, whereby ‘racism is back in fashion’.
Sir Jim faces calls to apologise, with Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham being the latest to say his comments 'go against everything for which Manchester has traditionally stood’.
