Judge DESTROYS Trump INDICTMENT FOR GOOD?!?!

The law allows Attorney General Bondi to appoint interim US Attorneys for 120 days, after which district court judges must appoint one if no Senate confirmation occurs. Halligan blew through the 120-day window with no court appointment or Senate confirmation, making her essentially a private citizen with no more authority than "you or me calling ourselves US Attorney." Judge Currie ruled "all actions flowing from Ms. Halligan's defective appointment were unlawful exercises of executive power" and must be set aside. The hosts explain this isn't about case merits—even with a signed Comey confession, the void indictment means nothing. Comey's statute of limitations expired (indictment came hours before deadline), so the case is dead despite dismissal "without prejudice." Other problems the judge didn't reach: grand jury never saw full indictment (only signature page), two hours 19 minutes of proceedings missing from transcript (court reporter left at 4:29 PM but grand jury continued), Bondi claimed she reviewed entire proceeding (impossible with missing time). White House Press Secretary Karoline Levitt called Halligan "extremely qualified" and "legally appointed"—claims the judge explicitly rejected.
