The long suppressed second volume of Jack Smith's report on Donald Trump's Espionage Act prosecution won't be released until late February — and perhaps longer. Judge Aileen Cannon rejected a request by the Columbia University-based Knight First Amendment Institute to intervene in the case in order to unearth the report. Cannon said that her earlier order blocking its release would expire on Feb. 24, 2026, but she gave the Trump administration another opportunity to try to keep it under wraps. Adam Klasfeld of All Rise News explains the state of play.
