Princeton University professor and extremism expert Cynthia Miller-Idriss joins Court Accountability Action’s Alyssa Bowen to discuss her new book, Man Up: The New Misogyny and the Rise of Violent Extremism (Princeton University Press, 2025). Cynthia and Alyssa talk about the latent misogyny driving the swell in far-right violence and extremism in recent years, despite a hesitancy by mainstream media and even many extremism researchers to identify it. Cynthia and Alyssa also talk about the key role the courts often play in imposing a far-right misogynistic agenda, as well as what can be done to curb this violence, starting with recognizing and openly discussing the misogyny in our everyday lives
