as posted by the channelAttorneys Brian Kabateck and Shant Karnikian cover the fatal shooting of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, 52, by an ICE agent during a 6:50 a.m. traffic stop in Houston's East End. Salgado Araujo had lived in the U.S. for 35 years, owned a home, raised three American sons, and was actively applying for a work permit. He had no criminal record. DHS immediately said he "weaponized his vehicle" and tried to run over an agent, the same phrase used after the Minneapolis shootings, where video later contradicted the official story. His son Ronaldo learned of his father's death from a social media post. Early reports indicate no visible damage to either vehicle. Salgado Araujo was shot in the abdomen while seated behind the steering wheel. No body cam footage has been released. The FBI is investigating the alleged assault on a federal officer, not the killing itself. The Harris County DA's office says federal authorities are blocking local participation in the investigation. LULAC's CEO said: "The federal government handed us a story about Renee Good, and the story fell apart moments after the video was released. Today we're being handed the same story in almost the same exact words. Prove it." This is the second ICE shooting in less than a week.
