Trump’s IRS Chief ROCKED by Explosive SPYING Allegations

Attorneys Brian Kabateck and Shant Karnikian cover the Wall Street Journal's investigation into Frank Bisignano, who runs both the IRS and the Social Security Administration, the two largest troves of sensitive personal data in the country. The Journal reported that while serving as co-COO at JPMorgan Chase, Bisignano directed his security team to monitor fellow executives' emails and internal communications, track employees' keystrokes, and access a restricted federal regulatory complaint he had no business seeing. One executive who suspected the snooping planted a code phrase in a message, and Bisignano later recited it back to him. After his departure in 2013, forensic teams found evidence his staff had accessed sensitive records. Jamie Dimon reportedly lost trust in him over the conduct. None of this came up during his Senate confirmation. Bisignano denies everything. Brian and Shant stress the stakes: if these allegations are true and he's doing anything similar at the IRS or SSA, it would violate the Internal Revenue Code, the Social Security Act, the Privacy Act of 1974, and potentially wire fraud statutes. This is the same official who used the SSA's communication system to send millions of beneficiaries a message praising Trump after the One Big Beautiful Bill passed, a likely Hatch Act violation.
