My latest video is all about the Online Safety Bill which the Govt is trying to sneak past us. It's full of all kinds of poorly defined restrictions on our liberties:
- it'll create a new category of banned "legal but harmful" speech
- the govt through Ofcom will be able to remove or discredit anything deemed "disinformation"
- private messages can be spied on
- comedy (especially satire, dark comedy and roasts) will be totally screwed
- you'll have to create an account to watch prawnography
- journalists who criticise the govt can be silenced
- it will stifle economic development, make Britain a toxic environment for tech and put a huge administrative burden on tech companies and the state
Created in collaboration with legal consultant Sam Hain.
