Last week, footage was released of a horrific murder in America. A Ukrainian refugee - an actual refugee, a woman fleeing a real war, not the fellas we get who are just fleeing lands with no requirement for Deliveroo drivers - sat down on a train in front of a black man. This man then stood up and stabbed her to death.

I waited for the outrage in the media. Remember when George Floyd - a career criminal who’d committed an armed robbery on a woman - died while being arrested and his death was instantly held aloft as proof of institutional bias and systemic racism? (Saint George was probably more a victim of the heroic amounts of fentanyl he’d consumed than the policeman subduing him - the left know how to choose a hero.)

This Ukrainian woman hadn’t, as far as we know, committed any armed robberies on women, hadn’t taken fentanyl and wasn’t resisting arrest. She wasn’t resisting anything. She was completely innocent and undeserving.

Surely now there would be outrage in the media?

Then it was revealed that the man who killed her had been arrested 14 times, and earlier this year a judge had released him without bail.

Surely now there would be outrage?

Then audio was released of him, after the stabbing, saying “I got that white girl,” showing it’s racially motivated.

Surely now there would be outrage?

And no wonder the left-wing media are silent. Her death is the physical manifestation of communist Critical Race Theory.

Then people set up fundraisers - not for the family of the poor Ukrainian woman, but for her killer to pay for his legal fees.

Surely now there would be outrage?

Then more footage was released showing that Iryna wasn't alone with this man in the carriage - they were surrounded by people who looked more like him than her, and while she recoiled in shock then slumped to the ground they stepped away or looked out the window. Not a single one of them appears to help her.

Surely now there would be outrage?

Well, there wasn’t any outrage. None of the main news sources even ran the story, despite it being almost perverse in its horror - a young woman fleeing a dangerous war ending up less safe than if she’d stayed and faced Putin's missiles.

And no wonder the left-wing media are silent. Her death is the physical manifestation of communist Critical Race Theory.
