Here's an excerpt from my livestream on Helen Webberley, who's being wheeled out for car-crash interviews that may yet drum up business; worryingly, she's already got 10,000 clients for her "Gender GP" online clinic.

Webberley calls herself a “global expert” in trans healthcare – as well as GenderGP, she was Mermaids’ former in-house medic, and a favourite “expert” quoted by the BBC and Guardian.

I look at the unregistered Welsh clinic conviction, the husband struck off after prescribing hormones to a 9-year-old, and the long list of warnings from NHS bodies and the Family Court about the safety of her online hormone service for kids.

Using Webberley’s own clips, we see her saying 6-year-olds can be trans, defending hormones for 12-year-olds, inviting “confidential” DMs from vulnerable young people, and cooing over a “so strong and muscular” trans model on the catwalk.

We see the mother who blames unregulated GenderGP hormones for the death of her child Jayden, and at Webberley posing at a concentration camp while comparing keeping males out of female sport to the Holocaust.

This isn’t “settled science”. It’s a case study in how activists get treated as neutral experts, how children become the raw material for an ideology, and what happens when confused kids collide with unregulated offshore medicine and a doctor who thinks “let children explore” includes puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones.

The scary thing is, as insane as she seems to us, there will be a small percentage of people who think she's speaking sense. And they'll get their kids signed up to Gender GP.
