A migrant with a knife in each hand (like Edward Scissorhands if he was from Mogadishu) went on the rampage in Edinburgh, attacking people, smashing up a shop, before barricading himself in a flat.

Police warned people about spreading misinformation - while telling us that this clearly middle aged man is 23 years old. I thought black don't crack? If he's 23, I'm the Queen of Sheba. Maybe the police need to look at their own misinformation.

The leader of Edinburgh Council immediately released a statement praising Edinburgh's diversity - apparently "moments like this remind us of the importance of tolerance" and getting stabbed by imported barbarians is our "biggest strength" - and warned people that they must "make sure it stays that way".

Police were slow to act, waiting until firearms officers attended. But this was near a primary school - if the government doesn't have the personnel to keep our children safe from the people it brings into the country, it shouldn't bring these people into the country.

I was reassured by the no-nonsense response from local residents. I get the feeling Scotland is waking up.
