A man stood on a British street and screamed for Jews to be beheaded. Not just a couple of Jews, all Jews.

He was arrested, but wasn't treated like the British men and women who were arrested for posting things in the aftermath of the Southport attack when they were angry about British girls being stabbed to death by a refugee.

They didn't get bail. People like Lucy Connolly were held on remand - she didn't get a chance to go home to see her young daughter. She was held in custody from the time of her arrest and then sentenced to 31 months in prison.

This guy was straight back on the streets, hopefully not with an axe.

I'm perturbed by the thought that he's not a notorious hate preacher who's just arrived from some barbaric country; he's not one of the 40-50,000 Islamists on terror watch lists. He's a sports science student. He's just a regular guy.

This man is your perfectly integrated third-generation Muslim, who we were told would become completely British, but somehow doesn't seem that British. Well, not the Britain I remember.

And with our demographic trends, don't expect this kind of thing to get better any time soon.
