Aaron Pomerantz - Proposition
Dr. Aaron Pomerantz is a social psychologist and researcher. His work examines the cultural and ideological forces that lead us to support harmful attitudes and behaviors towards ourselves and others. Dr. Pomerantz’s work has appeared, among other places, in Current Psychology, Journal of Police and Criminal Psychology, and Self and Identity. He was formerly a Middle East History and Peace fellow with Young Voices, and currently serves as Assistant Director of Research and Evaluation at the Doerr Institute at Rice University.
Liam McCollum - Opposition
Liam McCollum is a law student and the host of The Liam McCollum Show, a Human ReAction podcast where he interviews guests about foreign policy, culture, faith, and liberty. He was a 2024 Mises Apprentice at the Mises Institute and a 2022 Hazlitt Apprentice at the Foundation for Economic Education. He is the vice chair of the Montana Libertarian Party.
The Oxford-style debate will be moderated by the Director of Young Voices Debates, Hekmat Matthew Aboukhater.
