In this episode of Liberal Dan U, we examine the real evidence behind voter ID laws, including data from the Heritage Foundation’s own election fraud database, court rulings about the North Carolina voting law that targeted Black voters with “almost surgical precision,” and concerns about the proposed Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act.
We also look at the constitutional implications involving the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution and why requiring money to obtain the documents needed to vote can resemble the poll taxes banned by the Twenty-Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
Most importantly, we ask a simple question:
If it’s wrong for an illegal vote to cancel out a legal vote…
isn’t it also wrong to prevent a legal vote from being cast?
