The NSW economy has turned around from where it was five years ago -- we now have the lowest unemployment rate in the country with almost 110,000 new jobs created since coming to government; the highest growth in economic activity; and the strongest sales growth of all mainland states.
We are investing in essential services, having employed more than 5,000 additional nurses, doctors, teachers and police officers to help improve frontline service delivery.
NSW is also leading the way in service reform, being the first state to sign up to two national agreements -- the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which will assist more than 140,000 people with a disability living in NSW lead a dignified and decent life; and the "Gonski" national education agreement that will deliver a fairer system and an additional $5 billion for NSW schools.
We have embarked on an ambitious infrastructure program, investing $60 billion over the next four years to build for the future.
We are leading the country in terms of innovative ways to utilise our existing assets and partner with the private sector to deliver essential infrastructure upgrades such as the North West Rail Link, WestConnex, light rail in Sydney and Newcastle, the Pacific Highway duplication and Bridges for the Bush.
There's a lot more to be done, but with continued fiscal discipline and responsible government we will make NSW number one.
