He said it’s written, it happened, and it’s part of his people’s story. He also said he’s grateful to live in a time when that kind of violence isn’t part of life anymore. We disagreed, but not with hostility. It was one of those rare moments when two people with completely different worldviews can talk about morality, faith, and history without trying to win. He’s a Jewish Israeli. I’m an ex-Muslim atheist from Iran. We’re both Zionists, and this conversation reminded me that honest disagreement doesn’t have to destroy mutual respect.
