2:51Now PlayingEvery serious examination of the Islamic Republic in Iran leads to one unavoidable truth: reform is structurally impossible. The system was designed to resist it from the moment it was created. The IRGC was built to be a state within a state. Its hierarchy, ideology, and economic empire exist to sustain proxy militias, confront Israel indefinitely, and impose a revolutionary blueprint on the region. An institution created for that purpose cannot turn into a normal government.
This is why each political cycle ends in the same dead end. Elections replace faces but never direction. The real power structure is committed to a mission fundamentally incompatible with stability, prosperity, or even basic national well-being. As long as this architecture remains in place, it will drain Iran’s resources, suppress its citizens, and drag the nation into conflict after conflict. Only regime change offers any path to stopping the decline.
