BREAKING NEWS: DA Fani Willis Can Continue Trump Witch Hunt If She or Lover Boy Wade Are Removed

A Georgia judge ruled Friday that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis will not be disqualified from the racketeering case against former President Donald Trump and his co-defendants. The ruling, however, stipulates that Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade, romantically linked to Willis, must either leave the case or Willis and her entire office must step aside.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee made the decision following allegations concerning Willis's appointment of her romantic partner, Wade, as the head of the case. Despite finding an "appearance of impropriety," McAfee stated there was no "actual conflict" necessitating Willis's disqualification, thus allowing the prosecution to potentially proceed before the 2024 presidential election.

The ruling marks a significant moment in the ongoing legal battle involving Trump's alleged interference in the election process. Michael Roman, a co-defendant, had sought Willis's disqualification citing an “improper” personal relationship with Wade that could bias the case.

During a comprehensive hearing, both Willis and Wade testified about their relationship, asserting that it started after Wade's appointment and denied any financial benefit derived from the role. The judge's decision hinged on whether their relationship presented a conflict of interest significant enough to merit Willis's disqualification.

Ultimately, the judge decided that removing Wade from the case would be sufficient to address any appearance of impropriety without derailing the ongoing legal proceedings Willis had been building for over two years. The decision allows the case against Trump, Roman, and others to continue, albeit under the shadow of scrutiny regarding Willis's prosecutorial judgment and her office's conduct.
