On Friday, the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, disclosed in a video message that she has been diagnosed with cancer and has commenced chemotherapy treatment.

The 42-year-old member of the British royal family discovered her condition following a significant abdominal operation in January at the London Clinic, according to her. She mentioned that although the operation was a success, subsequent tests revealed the presence of cancer.

"The news was incredibly shocking, and both William and I have been privately navigating and dealing with this for the well-being of our children," she shared. "Naturally, this required time for recovery from the surgery before I could begin treatment, and importantly, time to discuss this with George, Charlotte, and Louis in a child-friendly manner, ensuring they understand I will be fine."

She continued, "Based on their advice, my healthcare team has started me on a regimen of preventative chemotherapy, and I am currently in the initial phase of this treatment."

The type and stage of the cancer remain undisclosed by the Princess of Wales.

This revelation follows amidst swirling rumors concerning her well-being and her relationship with Prince William, especially after she issued an apology for the release of a significantly altered photograph on UK Mother’s Day. The last public sighting of Princess Kate was in December during the royal family's traditional Christmas gathering at Sandringham.
