Why Fani Willis and Now Deadbeat Nathan Wade Will End Up Disbarred and Behind Bars

Nathan Wade, previously appointed as the special prosecutor in the high-profile 2020 election interference case against former President Donald Trump, is now embroiled in personal legal turmoil. These allegations were formalized in a contempt of court application submitted to the Cobb County Superior Court on April 3, 2024.

Wade, who played a significant role in the indictment of Trump and 18 others in August 2023, is reported to have earned close to $700,000 over two and a half years for his investigatory work. However, his financial and personal decisions have come under scrutiny following his separation from Joycelyn Wade in August 2021 and subsequent divorce proceedings initiated in November of the same year.

The legal battle intensified when Joycelyn Wade filed a motion in September 2023 to reopen discovery, highlighting Nathan’s alleged extravagant spending and lack of adequate financial support. Revelations of Nathan’s expenditure, including transactions linked to Fani Willis, the Fulton County District Attorney, have added layers of complexity to the situation.

Further complicating matters, Michael Roman, a co-defendant in the Trump case, sought to disqualify Willis and her team in January 2024, citing an inappropriate relationship between Willis and Wade. This motion brought the personal affairs of Wade into the public eye, straining his professional image.

In the midst of these legal entanglements, a settlement was reached in the Wade’s divorce, temporarily alleviating Willis from deposition. However, the focus on Wade’s financial conduct persisted, leading to the recent court filings that detail his alleged failure to fulfill court-mandated financial obligations for medical procedures and child support.

These filings claim that Nathan Wade instructed Joycelyn to self-finance medical treatments, promising reimbursement, a directive that contradicts existing court orders. Additionally, Wade’s apparent refusal to support their children’s educational and professional pursuits has led to heightened financial and emotional distress for the family.
