Indian-origin Republican leader Vivek Ramaswamy criticized Vice President Kamala Harris at the National Association of Black Journalists Convention in Chicago, claiming that many Indian Americans in the US are offended by Harris "casting aside" her Indian identity. Speaking to Fox News, Ramaswamy highlighted that Harris leaned into her Indian American heritage when it was politically convenient in California but now emphasizes a different identity on the national stage.
