It’s hard to imagine a more ridiculous political spectacle than what we witnessed with the so-called “No Kings” protest. If your goal was to alienate middle America, confuse your own base, and hand Donald Trump a gift-wrapped victory in the middle of an election cycle, mission accomplished.

This wasn’t a protest—it was a costumed crisis of identity. It had everything: screaming lunatics, torch-wielding weirdos, clowns (both literal and metaphorical), people in witch hats, and a woman shouting into the sky like she’d just seen the ghost of George Washington holding a MAGA hat. It was less a demonstration and more a casting call for a live-action remake of a Hunter S. Thompson fever dream.

And the messaging? What messaging? “No Kings” is supposed to be a rallying cry for democracy? Please. It came across like a rejected slogan from a medieval dinner theater. Not a single voter in Peoria, Scranton, or Tallahassee walked away from this thinking, “Yes, this is what America needs—more signs, less sanity.”

Meanwhile, Donald Trump—cool, calm, and collected—watched from the sidelines while his opponents once again lit themselves on fire. He didn’t have to say a word. The left made his case for him: they are out of touch, unhinged, and unserious.

This was peak progressive performance art. It looked like Burning Man met MSNBC. The American people are desperate for strength, vision, and common sense. And all they got from the left was a street theater tantrum that looked more like the opening act of a pagan ritual than a political movement.
