34:50Now PlayingDr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's leading infectious disease expert, will receive his first dose of Moderna’s newly-authorized COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday morning, following several critical care workers who were inoculated at a National Institutes of Health (NIH) event.
A nurse, critical care physician and critical care nurse practitioner were among the group of health care workers vaccinated at the event.
Fauci's vaccination also followed that of Alex Azar, secretary of Health and Human Services.
Also on scene Tuesday morning were NIH Director Francis Collins, and NIH Office of Research Services Director Colleen McGowan as well as more medical workers who would be vaccinated throughout the day.
