5:20Now PlayingCoronavirus vaccines are rolling out across the country, and health-care workers and our seniors have been among the first to get their shots. But now, depending on where you are, it’s the teachers turn. So far at least 21 states have made some or all teachers eligible to get the vaccine, but delays are possible because of high demand. To help quickly administer doses the University of Arizona set up a mega site right in the middle of campus. They hope to administer about 3,000 vaccines a day. Tucson teachers say their schools are still teaching in-person classes five days a week and getting this vaccine can mean the difference between life or death. Since Arizona is so hot, the university also set up a ‘freezer farm’—that’s about 9 freezers storing more than a million doses for the entire county to use. Now the idea is expanding to other states.
