Carnival Cruise Line's newest and now largest vessel in its fleet officially docked in Port Canaveral, FL on Friday morning after a 14-day voyage from Barcelona, Spain.
The ship will feature a variety of new-to-Carnival amenities like BOLT, the first roller coaster at sea, an ocean-facing atrium, a two-deck tiki bar by the pool, and two dozen dining options. It is the first LNG (liquefied natural gas)-powered cruise ship in North America. LNG is a cleaner-burning fuel that eliminates soot and sulfur oxides that would normally go into the atmosphere.
Mardi Gras will accommodate more than 5,200 guests and a crew of 2,000. Guests will have the choice of more than 2,600 staterooms and 180 suites across 11 categories.
