Severin Beckwith was staying at a resort near the Appalachian Trail in North Carolina when his door was kicked in by authorities who believed he was Brian Laundrie. Sheriff Jerry Crisp with the Graham County Sheriff's Office said his department had received calls about a man who looked like Laundrie walking on a trail near the resort. After entering the hotel room and speaking with Beckwith, investigators quickly determined he was not Laundrie.
