Dr. Brett Negin, a psychiatrist who treated Cruz from 2012-2017, testified about his interactions with Cruz and the medications Cruz was on during his treatment. Negin was also asked about a letter written by Cruz's middle school in June 2014 when Cruz was 15 years old that stated he "dreams of killing others and is covered in blood." Negin said he never received the letter and the first time he saw it was during a deposition for this trial.
