Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass issued a local state of emergency as the risk of life-threatening flooding remains for a greater portion of the area with constant moderate to heavy rainfall.
Meanwhile, President Biden called LA Mayor Bass during her press conference on the storm response. The mayor put her phone on speaker phone so microphones could pick up Biden's words of support for Southern California.
