Thousands of AT&T customers from coast-to-coast across the U.S. reported an outage of wireless service on Thursday with their phones simply reading "SOS." Thousands of Cricket Wireless and Verizon Wireless customers also reported an outage. AT&T said early Thursday afternoon that service had been restored to about 75% of customers, but did not provide a reason behind the outage.
