15:36Now PlayingIsrael has launched a large-scale operation in the West Bank, aimed at targeting terrorists, the Israel Defenses (IDF) said Wednesday.
The IDF said it was conducting the operation alongside the Israel Security Agency (ISA) and Israel Border Police.
The Israeli military said it killed at least five armed terrorists amid the operation and took others into custody, as they found weapons, ammunition and military equipment, and dismantled explosives planted under the roads.
The Hamas-run Palestinian Health Ministry claims at least nine people were killed in the operation. The agency does not distinguish between military and civilian casualties.
